Welcome to TinyReaderHub. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, share, and protect personal information when you use our mobile applications and related services (the “App”).
If you do not agree with this Policy, please stop using the App.
Google account & Google Drive (Google APIs / OAuth)
If you choose to connect Google Drive, TinyReaderHub uses Google OAuth so you can authorize access
to browse folders and read comic archives, PDFs, and similar files you already store in Drive.
This feature is optional: you can use local libraries and other cloud providers without connecting Google Drive.
1. Data access — what Google user data we access
After you explicitly grant consent, the App may access:
- Identity (openid / email / profile): to identify and display the connected Google account (e.g. display name, email, avatar URL).
- Google Drive read-only (drive.readonly): file/folder metadata (name, parents, size, modified time, MIME type, etc.) and the content of files you open for reading (download or stream, read-only).
We do not request scopes to create, modify, trash, or permanently delete your Drive files.
We do not access unrelated Google products (Gmail, Photos, YouTube, etc.) unless a future feature separately discloses and obtains consent.
2. Data use
- Google user data is used solely to provide or improve user-facing reading features: connect Drive, list directories, open/read selected comics/ebooks, and maintain/refresh the authorized session.
- We do not use Google user data for targeted advertising, credit decisions, sale of data, or any purpose unrelated to those user-facing features.
3. Data transfer / sharing
- We do not sell Google user data and do not transfer it to data brokers or advertisers for ads.
- Auth and Drive API calls go to Google; OAuth tokens and connection settings are stored on your device by default.
- We do not upload your comic file contents to TinyReaderHub servers for sync/backup unless a feature clearly says so and you consent.
4. Data protection
- Communications with Google use HTTPS.
- Access/refresh tokens are kept in the App’s local credential storage and used only to maintain your authorized Drive connection.
- We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures against unauthorized access, disclosure, or misuse.
5. Retention & deletion
- OAuth tokens and connection settings remain on-device while authorization is active. You can remove the Drive connection in the App to delete local tokens, or revoke access in Google Account permissions:
https://myaccount.google.com/permissions.
- Local reading caches can be cleared via App storage/cache controls; uninstalling typically removes app-private data.
- We do not keep long-term copies of your Drive file contents on our own servers (except where this Policy clearly states otherwise).
6. Limited Use & AI/ML restrictions (affirmative statement)
The use of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
See also:
Google API Services User Data Policy.
- We do not use raw or derived user data from Google Drive / Workspace / Photos APIs to develop, improve, or train generalized AI/ML models (beyond any strictly user-personal model that only serves that user, if ever offered).
- We do not transfer such Google user data to third-party AI services that use it to train their AI/ML models.
- Optional in-reader features such as page translation or image enhancement process page images you open in the reader; they are not used to train third-party generalized models from Drive API user data.
Third-party SDKs
Core reading, library, and network-storage features do not require access to contacts, SMS, call logs, camera, or microphone.
Advertising and in-app purchase SDKs are initialized only after you agree to this Policy (channel-dependent).
- Google Mobile Ads (international builds): ads and measurement; may process advertising identifiers and device/network information under Google’s policies.
- Google Play Billing: purchase and order handling by Google Play when you buy in-app products.
- Pangle / other China-channel ad SDKs (China builds only): may process device identifiers and network information for ads, anti-fraud, and caching after consent.
Information we collect
1. Information you provide or authorize
To provide local libraries, network storage (SMB, WebDAV, cloud drives you connect), and local transfer features, the App may need storage/file permissions or folders you pick via the system picker.
Content usually stays on your device or the storage you configure.
2. Device and log information
To keep the App stable and diagnose crashes, we may process non-directly identifying technical data such as device model, OS version, app version, language, network type, and rough logs.
3. Account / Hub features
If you sign in to TinyReaderHub or related account features, we process account credentials and settings needed for sync (for example network-storage configuration). Comic file contents are not uploaded for sync unless explicitly stated.
How we use information
- Provide, maintain, and improve App features
- Secure accounts and prevent abuse
- Show ads or process purchases after consent / where applicable
- Comply with legal obligations
Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only when required by law, with your consent, or with processors needed to operate the App (ads, analytics, payment, cloud auth providers), under appropriate agreements.
Retention & security
We retain information only as long as needed for the purposes above or as required by law. We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information.
Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, or restriction of personal information, and withdraw consent (which may limit related features). Contact us at
zzycami@163.com.
Children
If you are a minor, please use the App only with guardian guidance and consent where required.
Updates
We may update this Policy. We will notify you through in-app notices or website updates when appropriate. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised Policy.
